Cotton Market Sell Off Continued Overnight

Cotton futures are trading 26 to 52 points lower ahead of the weekly Export Sales report. They were 7 to 19 points lower in most nearby contracts on Wednesday. As expected, the Federal Reserve left interest rates UNCH following their two-day meeting on Wednesday. US and Chinese trade reps had “productive talks” in Beijing this week according to Treasury Sec Mnuchin. China is expected to head to DC next week. The Cotlook A Index was down 65 points at 86.55 on April 30. The weekly Average World Price (AWP) is 68.68, effective through Thursday.
